Aetna

Aetna Health Care has roots steeped in history. It began as a life insurance agency in 1850. Aetna offers several different plan options to its members including:

PPO Plans: Aetna offers 14 different PPO Plans – PPO plans allow for members to visit doctors whether in or out of network. Out of pocket expenses are higher when choosing a doctor not within the Aetna network.

HMO Plans: Aetna offers 5 different HMO Plans – HMOs allow for members to visit doctors and specialists within the network.

Aetna Health Fund Savings Account: This type of account allows for money to be deposited and withdrawn without penalty when used for qualified health related expenses.

Aetna Golden Medicare Plan: Aetna's contract with the government allows for certain benefits for Medicare beneficiaries.

Aetna Golden Choice Plan: This plan covers many of the same benefits as the Medicare plan with some extras thrown in. Members can receive medical visits, prescriptions and hospitalization all within the same company.

Traditional Choice Indemnity Plan: Allows for a member to use any recognized health care provider for specific services with no referrals.
