Vista Healthplan of South Florida, Inc. is part of the conglomerate of Vista Companies which include Vista Healthplan, Inc. and Vista Insurance Plan, Inc. Vista provides affordable health plans that offer a wide range of health benefits and access to more than six thousand medical providers in the state of Florida.

Employing over 950 employees, the company is able to service around 300,000 members. Vista's network of physicians and hospitals is one of the largest in South Florida. It has the highest level of accreditation offered by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

Vista provides many affordable plans and products to both employers and individuals. They include: HMO, POS, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, Children's and various individual health benefit plans. Vista is based in Hollywood and has offices in Lake Worth, Miami, Sunrise and Tallahassee. Customer service is provided in Florida 10 hours daily, Monday through Friday.

Obstetrics and Gynecological Programs

Recently, Vista expanded its obstetrical and gynecologic network as part of its Women's Health Program. This program is in effect in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Members of Vista's health plans may visit participating specialists in general obstetrics and gynecology as well as in gynecological oncology, urogynecology, maternal fetal medicine and reproductive endocrinology through this expanded program.

Medicare Programs

Platinum Select and Platinum Plus are Vista's basic and extended Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plans. The Platinum Value plan does not offer a prescription drug benefit. Platinum Choice is Vista's special needs and drug plan. The Preferred Options Program offers a Point of Service Benefit.

As with all of Vista's health plans, benefits vary from county to county. These prescription drug plans were started in January of this year so that Medicare beneficiaries were able to get the prescriptions they needed affordably through Vista. These various benefit plans cover both generic and brand name drugs with no extra plan premium.
